Kwame Ultimate "da Alkebulan poet"


Kwame Ultimate is a UK based Jamaican reggae dancehall artist from the Saxon Studio sound system camp. Former Tastee Talent & National Deejay champion for Kingston, Jamaica. As part of the mighty Saxon crew, he toured and performed throughout the UK and opened for international singer Akon at Hammersmith Palais in 05. First recording was anti-apartheid song Down in South Africa at King Tubby’s studio in Waterhouse, Kingston. He toured and shared stage with King Yellowman, Tyrone Taylor, Half Pint, Nadine Sutherland and Ziggy Marley Marley & the Melody Makers including at Kaiser’s Cafe in Negril and Ward Theatre, the Caribbean’s oldest performance venue. First UK release Galdelero was produced by Wayne Marshall of G Spot fame followed by 90s dancehall hits like, International Gangster, Hello Poochiloo and Cocaine which charted highly on the UK reggae scene. After a break Kwame recently returned with the thought-provoking,
Covid 19 inspired rootz song Awakening. Follow up tune "Family Can K#$# U", is about entitlement and betrayal by close friends or family. New single "Conquerors" drops in April. All are off upcoming album PTSD, scheduled for October 2021.
