Hailing from Glasgow, Gerry Cinnamon is a Scottish acoustic blues singer and songwriter. Inspired by the work of bands such as the Beatles and the Brian Jonestown Massacre.
Cinnamon began penning his own songs that took on an introspective theme within the lyrics while delivering anthemic singalong choruses akin to the work of Frank Turner and Bob Dylan.
His debut release "Kampfire Vampire" earned him high placement in the 2015 digital music charts. 2016 saw him selling out the 02ABC in Glasgow and ending the year with a show at the SEC HYDRO with Ocean Colour Scene.
He recently won Best Live Act at the Scottish Alternative Music Awards, and kept busy writing and recording the material for his self-recorded, self-released debut album "Erratic Cinematic" which on release shot to the top of the album charts with little more than a post on social media.
Cinnamon's latest rise in notoriety came in the wake of his show-stealing performance at TRNSMT festival where he attracted one of the biggest crowds of the weekend.
His album launch sold out in less than 60 seconds - a record for the venue. Less than 12 hours later he announced his first headline at the iconic Barrowland Ballroom which sold out in less than an hour. A 2nd night was booked which sold out in less than 5 mins. A first for any unsigned artist.
He recently won the Great Scot Award for Entertainment following in the footsteps of Paolo Nutini and Kevin Bridges.
