Design, make and decorate up to 8 ceramic buttons/brooches.
Suitable for beginner and experienced potters, join Nottingham based studio potter Sarah Burton in a relaxed and creative atmosphere to make your own design of ceramic buttons and brooches.
Sarah will show you how to make a variety of different shapes of buttons and brooches using a series of cutters and templates. You can decorate your creations with different textures and paint them with underglazes on the day. Your buttons/brooches will then be glazed with a transparent glaze and fired ready for you to collect from the Focus Gallery a few weeks later.
Bring with you any design ideas you may have – do you have a knitted cardigan that needs those special buttons or a jacket that would look great with a unique brooch? Alternatively get ideas on the day from the ‘Bits and Bobs Box’ that Sarah will bring along to inspire your creativity.
£40 includes all materials and firings, plus coffee/tea and cake
No previous experience is required
