Located just outside Canterbury, the family-owned park has the greatest amount of animal species among Kent’s zoos and wildlife parks. See cute red pandas, playful monkeys, beautiful jaguars and majestic tigers — this wildlife park is filled with animals from around the world.
Some of the most popular activities in Wingham Wildlife Park are the daily talks and animal feeding sessions. No day out to this park is complete without learning about the behaviour of your favourite animal – from a racoon to a wolf – or watching a feeding session, such as in the tiger enclosure or the penguin enclosure.
Make your day out even more special with an animal encounter. Ever wondered what it’s like to be a keeper? Now you can find out as you become a keeper for the day. Take a peek behind the scenes with a VIP tour of the wildlife park. Help the otter keepers with their daily feeding and training of the fun-loving creatures. If you’re feeling brave, feed the tigers by hand through the mesh.
One thing you might not have expected to see is a dinosaur! Well, lots of them, actually. Tread carefully through the Dinosaur Zoo to see incredible dinosaurs from different ages, such as the Jurassic, Cretaceous and Permian periods. All your favourites will be there, including the T-rex, Triceratops, Diplodocus, Velociraptor and Stegosaurus.
Enjoy a picnic in one of the many picnic areas located around the park or grab a snack from the refreshment kiosk, which you’ll find by the play area. The park’s café is open daily from 10am until 3pm.
Open 364 days a year, being closed on Christmas Day, Wingham Wildlife Park is open from 10am to 6pm during summer (April to September) and 10am to 4pm in winter (October to March). Last admission to the park is an hour before closing time.
