Speaking gibberish has never been so fun with Mumbo Jumbo – the hilarious mouthpiece challenge game. The object of the game is simple: players from each team take turns reading out phrase cards whilst wearing a mouthpiece in their mouth. The mouthpieces are designed to prevent players pronouncing the phrases correctly, leading to some truly rib-tickling results.
How to play Mumbo Jumbo
Players divide themselves into teams. Each team takes turns picking up a phrase card and reading it out whilst wearing a mouthpiece (with a different player from each team picking a card each go). Teammates have to guess the phrase they’re saying before the timer runs out.
Each card has four different phrases on it. To decide which phrase they read, players have to roll the die before each go. If a team correctly guesses the phrase their teammate is saying, they get to keep the phrase card. The team with the most cards at the end of the game wins.
Bonus cards for double the fun
Make speaking mumbo jumbo even more fun by introducing bonus cards into the game. Each card features a fun mouthpiece challenge which players have to complete to win points for their team. The challenges are embarrassing for the player who has to do them but amusing for everyone else (eg. phone one of your friends and ask them if they want to go swimming).
