Were you ever at a shebeen? Do you know any interesting tales about the scene you can share? What did you hear, see or read about this secret party scene?
Come and join Museumand for this free drop-in session. Share your stories and memories of shebeens, blues parties and/or house parties from 1948 to 1988. We would love to see photos, posters, printed materials, records, clothing and anything else from your memorabilia.
Museumand would also like to capture your contributions for the museum’s oral history archives. You can do so either by voice or video recordings, by taking a photograph, or just by having a chat. (Participation optional)
