About this Promotion

We are leading you up from last week's post to this gorgeous statue on Chapel Row. It's called The Quartet and is a group of four people walking. This bronze statue was originally positioned on the corner of Market Square in 1986 but had to be moved to give way for the tram and for the fountain to be remodelled, initially being moved to the castle and now to it's current position. It was created by sculptor Richard Perry. The life-size figures represent people passing through the city and was commissioned by Nottinghamshire County Council in conjunction with East Midlands Arts. It was unveiled by Princess Anne in December 1988 after taking 7 months to complete at a cost of around £25,000.
This statue was included in a promotion for the launch of the latest series of BBC Line of Duty when various statues around the country were cordoned off as the menacing enemy of AC-12 left a telling calling-card!
