About this Free Competition
Navigate, observe and fly the helicopter with this triple buzz experience.
Flying a helicopter incorporates 3 different key factors: flying, navigation and observation. This three stage trail lesson will give you the opportunity to try all three and help you with the key skills needed to get your own pilot's licence!
Your lesson is preceded by a short flight briefing with an experienced instructor who will explain all aspects of the flight, including the effects of the controls and how a helicopter flies. Once airborne you will then be allowed to take the controls and actually fly the helicopter! After this, you will be a passenger for the next two flights, this will enable you to develop the skills of navigation and observation.
KEY INFORMATION
When can you go?
This experience is available on selected weekend dates, from January to December. You must take your activity before the voucher expiry date.
How long does this activity last?
Your total experience will last approximately 45 minutes with three, 6 to 7 minute flights.
You need to know
The minimum age is 12 years old.
This may not be suitable if you are pregnant, suffer from epilepsy, fits, severe head injuries, recurrent fainting, high blood pressure, or heart conditions. The max weight is 88kg (14 stone).
There is no previous flying experience necessary.
This is for a voucher entitling the holder to any of the activities supplied by Activity Superstore up to the value stated.
You and how many others?
Your tuition is on a one to one basis, there will be two other people there on the day.
Family and friends
You are welcome to bring along family and friends to watch you take to the sky.
We can’t control the weather!
This activity is dependent on appropriate weather conditions.
