Plant Pot Ceramics for Beginners w. Upsydaisy Craft

Participants of the course will make one large plant pot (13cm diameter) or two smaller plant pots – all approx. 10cm in height. Natalie from Upsydaisy Craft will demonstrate coil building, pinch pot and slab building techniques for the participant to choose what they prefer. The clay will be provided along with a variety of stamps and shapes to create interest and detail and personalised each pot. Each participant will be able to decorate with underglaze colours and the pots will be dried slowly to prevent cracks before they are glazed with a transparent gloss fired and be ready for collection at the Malt Cross approx. 2 weeks later – you will receive email confirmation and finished pieces can be posted out (this can be arranged in the class)
Natalie will bring example of what can be made, please bring along any stamps/textures you want to try in the clay, any ideas or sketches you may have. Or just come along and see what creativity inspires you on the day!
No previous experience required, lots of fun to be had playing with clay – recommended to bring an apron but clay doesn’t stain. Suitable for adults and responsible children.
