The Great Leicester Song Swap I 16.03.18 I The Shed I GIVE A GIG
About this Event
Ladies and gentlemen, introducing "The Great Leicester Song Swap", the local music collaboration event like no other. Four of Leicester’s most exciting live acts, The Siobhan Mazzei Band, The Whiskey Rebellion, The Surrealists and Toby J Leonard, have been working together for the last couple of months to produce unique cover versions of each other’s songs. They will be performing these covers, along with songs from their usual repertoire, for one night of musical variety and collaboration.
If you want to hear The Whiskey Rebellion folking up a Siobhan Mazzei track, or The Surrealists blasting out a Whiskey Rebellion anthem, make sure you are there on Friday 16th March for this unique show!
This event is also in aid of 'Give a Gig Week', and is one of over 100 gigs taking place over the week in support of the national charity Youth Music. Every year, they invest in over 250 projects around the country, giving 75,000 young people the chance to regularly make music. These are young people facing really tough challenges in their lives, like povery, diability or mental health issues, to give just a few examples. There will be a collection bucket at the event if you feel generous enough to donate to this wonderful charity.
This event is £5 otd, £4 adv. Doors are 8pm.
Age restriction: 14+, under 16s with an adult.
