Inspired by artists such as The Band, Dire Straits and Bruce Springsteen, Hunter & The Bear began as a duo while at university in Newcastle, consisting of Jimmy (lead guitar, mandolin and backing vocals) and Will (rhythm guitar and lead vocals) then moved to London where they found Gareth (drums) and Chris (bass) to complete the line up.
The band bring you a powerful blend of folk, rock and country music, with strong vocal harmonies and soaring guitar parts. And the origins of the name? Will revealed 'Jimmy's surname is Hunter and when I was at school I played a lot of rugby and my nickname was the Bear, so we thought Hunter & The Bear was a good name'.
