Welcome to Sapori! Benvenuti! ‘Sapori’ is Italian for ‘flavours’ and this encapsulates the character of this authentic Italian family restaurant, run with passion and dedication. Situated in the heart of Anstey, Sapori is only 10 minutes drive from Leicester and close to the beautiful Bradgate Park.
Featured in the Good Food Guide since 2014, Sapori offers modern and elegant Italian fine dining in a family atmosphere. Each dish is created by using only the freshest seasonal ingredients. Everything is made from scratch, from the pasta and bread selection to the desserts and gelato. Since opening Sapori have gone from strength to strength and have been rewarded with numerous prestigious awards including ‘Best Italian Restaurant in UK’. The quality and the excellence of Sapori cuisine was also acknowledged in October 2018, when they were awarded their first AA Rosette.
Sapori’s Head Chef Andrea Scarpati is a native of Torre del Greco, Italy. Andrea worked in several restaurants in Italy and in England before opening Sapori with his wife Cristina and her brother Luigi in May 2011. In March 2017, Chef Andrea was selected to become a member of Chic, Charming Italian Chef. This is an association of many great chefs who boast more than fifty Michelin stars between them. They are all dedicated to authentic and innovative Italian cuisine. Andrea is the only UK-based member and together with his team, he is committed to ensuring every plate served truly represents Italy and his passion for food.
