Opening with a piece chosen by you, the audience. It’s time to set sail on Sinbad’s ship as we hear Scheherazade’s tales from the Arabian Nights, told in music by Rimsky-Korsakov. One of his more glittering pieces, Scheherazade sweeps us along on a wave of lush sound, from the intimacy of The Young Prince and Young Princess, to the bold, bright colours of Festival of Baghdad.
