Summer fun at the Beer Festival !!
Another year has flown by and the countdown has begun for the SIBA South East Beer Festival, this being the 12th in the series, and growing bigger every year. Back by popular demand at Tonbridge Juddians Rugby Club (TJs) the festival features over 180 cask ales in various categories from the South East’s finest independent brewers.
Following the SIBA competition taking place on the Friday you can find out which of the beers has been chosen as Overall Champion and pit your taste buds against the judges, by checking if you agree with their choices in each category. Whether new to real ale or a seasoned aficionado you will find plenty of choice of ales to try, some hopefully for the first time (come on you Tickers !!). Keep an eye on this website and the full Beer List will appear here in the coming weeks ....
This year there will be an even wider range of Ciders & Perrys for you to try and hopefully we won’t sell out too soon again (you insatiable apple quaffers, you J ). Pop over and see our own Scrumpy Bill and try one of his delectable “Apples & Pears” cocktails. Soft drinks and food will be available at all sessions, with Big Event Co. manning the B-B-Q all weekend.
Entry is FREE and all beers are purchased with Tokens (1/2 pint tokens @ £1.80 each), with all beers & ciders at one price of £3.60 per pint. The souvenir festival glass will cost you £2 and, as it’s yours to keep, it can make a great addition to your collection or double as a handy vase !
The club is located in the centre of Tonbridge and just off the High Street, about a 10 minute walk from the railway station. Full directions on how to find us can be found on the home page of this website.
