Jubilee Patio Pack - Red White and Blue Potatoes
About this Promotion
HM Queen Elizabeth II will celebrate 70 years on the throne this year. What better way to celebrate this historic Jubilee than to have some Red, White and Blue potatoes this summer? While these may not be ready for the long weekend in June, you can celebrate this momentous occasion later in the summer with these colourful potatoes on your plate.
This Patio Pack contains a lovely selection starting with the wonderful British Queen. For our Red we have Heid Red and then our Blue is Blue Annelise
🥔 British Queen – Versatile Favourite. Producing a moderate to high yield of white-skinned, oval tubers with a white, floury flesh. Popular for its versatility in the kitchen – needs gentle simmering to produce excellent mash, and a great roaster. British Queen was bred by the Scottish breeder Archibald Finlay in Lincolnshire and first marketed in 1894. Second Early, Waxy
🥔 The Heidi Red (Heiderot) potato produces long shaped tubers with bright red skin and flesh. Heiderot is characterised by a red meat colour and a slightly buttery, delicious potato taste. It is ideal for salads and boiled potatoes. Main Crop, Waxy
🥔Blue Annelise produces long shaped, blue skin and blue flesh tubers. Slightly creamy flavour with a nutty aroma. Main Crop, Smooth
How to grow potatoes in these pots:
Fill about 2/3 of the way up with compost/soil (not included), put 3 tubers in each bag and cover with soil. When the plant emerges, cover with soil and repeat this a couple of times. This encourages downward growth.
