Bonfest is the annual celebration of rock's greatest front man, the legendary Bon Scott. It takes place in his Scottish hometown of Kirriemuir, and sees AC/DC fans from all over the world joining together in a celebratory weekend of music.
This years festival features AC/DC's powerhouse drummer Chris Slade, with his Timeline show that looks back on 50 years playing in classic rock bands. Chris is joined by another rock legend, Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell with his new band The Bastard Sons. The festival also sees the cream of AC/DC tribute bands from all over Europe playing, including Ireland's Whole Lotta Voltage, England's Dirty DC and Germany's BON The AC/DC Show who will be joined for a few songs by special guest Mark Evans, bass player on many of the Bon Scott era albums. Throw in Massive Wagons, one of the greatest new rock acts in the UK at the moment, as well as over thirty other local bands playing for free in local bars and venues, and you have a party any classic rock fan will not want to miss!
